The birth of the unconventional economics dates back to the publication of my bookentitled AN UNCONVENTIONAL ANALYSIS OF THE TURKISH ECONOMY,1978 (it is noted as UATE). The aim of the book was to explain the rather highgrowth rate of the Turkish economy in the period of 1950-1975, and to predict itsfuture growth, which had to slacken.
